Cinco estudios sobre la mirada inspirados en los versos de T. S. Eliot «And the unseen eyebeam crossed, for the roses/Had the look of flowers that are looked at.» [«Y la mirada sin servista cruzaba, porque las rosas/ tenían el aspecto de flores que son miradas.»]* Registrado en la Ciudad Prohibida de Pekín, en sitios donde los visitantes del interior de China se detiene a observar las reliquias del emperador: tronos, jardines, pabellones, pomos de puertas, etc. Algunas de estas reliquias pueden verse solo a través de los relflejos de los cristales, otras pueden tocarse, y en determinados sitios se detienen para ser fotografiados junto a ellas, cediendo la cámara a otro turista que los retrata. La serie se compone por los fragmentos «Looking through», «Looking at», «Being looked at», «Looking at herself» y «War of gazes». En la banda sonora se emplea un paisaje sonoro compuesto por Marchelo Mercado.
Five studies on the gaze inspired by T. S. Eliot verses «And the unseen eyebeam crossed, for the roses / Had the look of flowers that are looked at.»* Registered in the Forbidden City of Beijing, at places where visitors from the interior of China stop to observe the relics of the emperor: thrones, gardens, pavilions, doorknobs, etc. Some of these relics could only be seen through the reflections of the crystals, others could be touched, and in certain places visitors stop to be photographed next to them, giving the camera to another to be portrayed. The video series on the gaze is composed of the following chapters: «Looking through», «Looking at», «Being looked at», «Looking at herself» and «War of gazes». The soundtrack uses a piece composed by Marchelo Mercado.
